2025 Saint-Gaudens Fellow Sarah Peters creates sculptures that draw on idols, monuments, and pop artifacts to explore how form conveys power, devotion, and the structures of belief. Informed by her personal history with ecstatic and hierarchical religious traditions, her work reimagines the authority of classical sculpture through humor, tactile intimacy, and absurdist play.
